New Years Party 2009!!

The beginning of 2009 called for a little celebration… La Jolla style. My baby sister Jessica and four of her friends decided to take a college road trip down the coast of California for the winter break. She started at her college in Humbolt (hippies), drove down the coast, stayed in LA for a few days, and then ending up and her big-brother’s house in San Diego for New Years. Lucky me. We had a little party at my house to celebrate the New Year complete with an alcohol bar, good eats, hot-tub and fire pit… And there was much rejoicing… “yay”. Shown below are my girlfriend Sara and her dear friend Lisa toasting right after the countdown.

Misha - Those are some nice looking snack cups!

Ah, southern California. Where the gorgeous girls are drawn to the hot tub like bees on honey.

I noticed a slight rounding of the picture corners. Is that technique done when the picture is taken or after?February 10, 2009 – 6:26 PM

Jeremy - The vignetting in the pictures in an intentional post-production edit. Many of my pictures have them naturally though. When I used to do a lot of black and white film work I would use a lot of filters which would always give me a vignette. I still love my polarizer filter too which gives me the same effect. I guess I just keep putting it for consistency.February 11, 2009 – 1:32 PM
